The American Legion Auxiliary - Post 82 Camp Gordon Johnston

Post 82 in Lanark Village, Carrabelle Welcomes it Auxiliary Members.

Shortly after the 1919 creation of the American Legion – at the time, open only to male veterans of war – women and women’s organizations across the country wanted a space to contribute, too. Within months, the American Legion Auxiliary was born .

In 1953, Lanark Village opened its Post 82 – Camp Gordon Johnston site, welcoming American Legion Auxiliary members from all over the country. We are proud to host our local chapter of this patriotic service organization, whose mission is to advocate for, help, and honor United States military, veterans, and their families, and support The American Legion.
